Top University Preparation Class(Takadanobaba Campus only
The Top University Preparation Class offered in Takadanobaba is specially designed for students who aim to apply to the most prestigious universities in Japan.
Students who complete the Beginner I Japanese class may take the screening test to apply to the Top University Preparation Class.
Students who pass the screening test are enrolled in the said class. This Class progresses faster than the normal curriculum and also puts more weight into preparing for the EJU and university entrance exams.
Please be advised that students who are admitted in January are not eligible to apply to this class.
ISI uses an online Class Placement Test which can be accessed through a computer or smart phone. As a result, you can immediately check your assigned class on arrival in Japan and smoothly transition to the beginning of your school life. We will also ask you to complete a questionnaire about your past experiences in learning Japanese and your future plans, which will then be used to place you in a class that matches with your level of Japanese and learning goals. In case you feel that the assigned class does not match with your level of Japanese, we have a Class Changing Period in place, during which you can consult with faculty to change classes.
If your cumulative grade is above C at the end of the term, you may advance to the next level class (Please refer to Academic Grades and Evaluation above). If your cumulative grade is D, an assignment will be given out by the school. Based on the results of this assignment and a faculty meeting, the school will decide whether you will be allowed to advance to the next level class. If your advancement is not recognized, you will be enrolled in a class of the same level as before and study the same material once more.
If you satisfy the requirements below, your graduation in March will be recognized. If your graduation is recognized, the school will confer a Certificate of Graduation.
